Friday Update XI

I am so happy the weekend is here! This week has a been a long one that's for sure. We had Maths week at school which was interesting. I managed to cross maths into every single lesson that I taught, I was pretty impressed with myself.
Yes that is correct. The English call mathematics 'Maths' not 'math'. I am not sure why but now I am in that habit of saying it with a 's' and it will be a hard one to drop when I move home.

You would think that the clock change would a lot easier. In England, it is not the case. The darkness is a lot to bear I am finding. It isn't proper daylight until about  7.45-8.00 each morning. The sun pretty much is down and it is dark by 4.15-4.30 each afternoon. It is a lot to handle. Between teaching full time and this darkness, I can't seem to shake being tired all the time. But, I won't let it stop me from having some fun.

I can't believe it's the middle of November already! So crazy! Before we know it I'll be home for Christmas. I caught up with all my family on my Mother's side on Sunday when they were at Aunty M's! It was so great to see everyone, and good to hear all is well!

Yesterday was 'Children in Need' which is a giant national fundraiser to raise money for disadvantaged children. This obviously meant that I got to wear my dino onesy to work! I was sooo excited! And of course I looked great!

It is a great cause and I think we need to have more of these days at home. I had so much fun and the kids loved my outfit...as did the staff! This weekend is being spent relaxing and catching up on some schoolwork and housework! I haven't spent a weekend at home in ages! It's been great ( I feel old as I write this statement).
