It has been a very long first week back.
It was great to be home for a visit to catch up with family and friends.
This week has been so busy between working and catching up on everything that needed to be done after a holiday. I am also very excited to say I was not jet-lagged! It was the oddest thing ever but it worked out well in my favour considering I went back to school 48 hours after landing in the UK.
I have had a lot of time think about my career and where I would like to go with it. I know how I want to revamp my teaching so it makes a stronger impact on my students. It has been one hell of a learning curve since September.
I started at my school a year ago today. Considering I went in for a supply day, and have no landed a full time job it's amazing to see where I have come from.
This weekend has been a wonderful weekend of hanging low-key, on the couch watching DVDs. It is supposed to snow tonight or tomorrow night, always an interesting concept in the UK.
It was great to get home to see everyone but I am also very happy to back in the UK.
I have really created a home for myself here and more importantly a life of my own 100%. It's all different things that I have gotten on my own. It's weird to think of Canada as home and the UK as home, it's almost like being in limbo.
Anyways, happy weekend and happy 2013!
